Fish and Bear’s Paw: Chinese Food and Chinese Philosophers

Dr. Eric Hutton (Department of Philosophy, University of Utah) will present his lecture “Fish and Bear’s Paw: Chinese Food and Chinese Philosophers” as part of Chinese Culture Week 2019. This talk explores how Chinese food, as a representation of Chinese culture, is discussed by early Chinese philosophers. Dr. Hutton uses that lens as a way of introducing discussions about the value of Chinese culture by the Chinese philosophers themselves.
