Inclusivity in STEM Symposium
April 24, 2020 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
We would like to invite you to attend the end of the semester virtual symposium for the Being Human in STEM (SCI 3900) class. This course combines academic inquiry and community engagement to investigate the theme of diversity and inclusivity in STEM.
For the final class project, we collected survey data from STEM students across campus about their positive and negative experiences with respect to inclusivity and diversity. The responses are from students across the College of Science, College of Mines and Earth Sciences and College of Engineering. We can’t wait to share the results with you!
We would like to share our experiences and findings with you, and invite you for a conversation on Friday, April 24, from 2 – 3 pm!
For your information, students have discussed the results of the survey with President Watkins as part of her U Rising podcast. The podcast will be available around April 15th.
2 – 2:30pm Student presentations
2:30 – 3:00pm Discussion and Q&A
Who is invited? Everyone at the U! Students, faculty, advisors, administrators, staff.
