Wellness Advocate Certificate: Anti-Violence
September 26 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Center for Student Wellness is hosting their highly-anticipated Wellness Advocate Certificate training this month!
A Wellness Advocate supports students to lead healthier, safer lives. With a foundational knowledge about health issues affecting college students, they are able to listen to concerns, communicate basic information about wellness, and refer students who are beyond their scope of information. Wellness Advocates, even in a small way, can impact the health of their peers in regards to the many wellness areas that influence our daily lives. Learn more here.
Sept. 26th: Module 3, Anti-Violence: Discuss what interpersonal violence is, what consent looks like, how rape myths contribute to rape culture. Practice intervening in harmful situations and referring victims of sexual violence to services.
