Diverse Student Early Outreach
Welcome to Diverse Student Early Outreach (DSEO) a new division of Student Equity and Diversity at the University of Utah. Working with partners campus-wide, the Diverse Student Early Outreach Coordinator’s mission is to strengthen the educational pipeline between grades K – 8 and Higher Education by assisting historically underrepresented students to achieve their academic and personal goals for college.
Currently, in collaboration with the Coordinating Council, I am working on the online resource guide "Smart Start" which will feature university services, programs, and upcoming events geared toward young students, grades K - 8. The Early Outreach website also offers important online educational resources created specifically to assist parents and younger students become familiar with college preparation starting as early as elementary school.
In collaboration with our campus partners, I look forward to the opportunity to introduce young students to the University of Utah community. We hope you'll visit our site in the future as we continually work toward providing a well rounded and holistic educational experience for first-generation and underrepresented students.
