COVID-19 Impacts on Utah Demographics
May 13, 2020 @ 8:30 am – 9:30 am
Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute May Newsmaker Breakfast
COVID-19 will leave an indelible signature on Utahns for some time to come. While our demographic fundamentals remain solid, adverse health impacts of the virus vary by demographic characteristics across the state and will require thoughtful and expert analysis to interpret.
Hear from Gardner Institute and University of Utah Health experts discuss potential impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Utah’s demographics, including short-term population dynamic shifts, changes in demographic data collection and Census 2020, new interpretations of Census 2020 data, and the implications for demographic work going forward.
The conversation will be moderated by Gardner Institute Director Natalie Gochnour. Media are invited to attend and ask questions.
