Celebrating U Completely: Graduate Celebration

The Celebrating U Completely: Graduate Celebration stands as an illustration of inclusivity and recognition, underscoring the profound significance of honoring the journey and achievements of every graduate. This celebration transcends mere academic accomplishment; it becomes a platform for amplifying all perspectives, ensuring that every graduate is celebrated for their distinct contributions to our collective tapestry.

Celebrating U Completely is all about embracing and honoring everything that makes us who we are, from our backgrounds to our stories, and everything in between, such as:

Student Registration

The University of Utah Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion invites this year’s graduating class to the Celebrating U Completely: Graduate Celebration on April 29, 2024, at 5 p.m. in the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House.  

Undergraduate and graduate students graduating in December 2023, May 2024, or August 2024 are invited to register by April 19, 2024, to take part in the celebration.

Celebrating U Completely: Graduate Celebration 2024

Congratulations, Class of 2024, we are excited to commemorate you and your achievement. Please find below, all the logistical information you will need on graduation day for registered graduates and their guests.

ASL interpretation will be provided. All requests for event access support and other questions or concerns may be directed to edi-events@utah.edu.

Directions & Parking

  • The ceremony will take place at the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House (155 Central Campus Dr. Salt Lake City, UT 84112) on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 5 p.m.
  • All graduates and guests will be able to utilize the parking lots north of the building (located here) free of charge on the day of the event.

Graduates

  • Graduation regalia is required for the Graduate Celebration.
  • Check-in time for graduates is 4 p.m. Please bring your UCard for check-in.
  • Please follow directional signage and staff guidance after checking in for the graduate lineup on the second-level balcony.

Guests

  • Guests are encouraged to find their seats by 4:40 p.m. Saving seats is prohibited, as space is limited.
  • The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 p.m. After the procession, approximately at 4:40 p.m., all empty seats will become available until the room is at capacity.

Photographs & Video

  • Photographers will be provided at the ceremony to take photos of the event. Once available, a downloadable gallery will be shared with the emails provided during registration. 
  • After the ceremony, the photographers will be available to take 1 (one) photograph of each graduate with their guests. Two photo booths will also be available for graduates for a fun commemorative photo strip.
