¡Fiesta for Nature!

September 28 @ 4:00 am - 8:00 pm

Come celebrate nature with the UMFA, Artes de Mexico en Utah, and other community cultural partners with free family art-making that will be contributed to two community projects—a flower arch and a pelican sculpture.

The paper flowers visitors make will create an arch as a part of a Dia de los Muertos altar. It will be on view at the UMFA on November 2 and 3 for a community celebration. Visitors can contribute to the pelican sculpture by writing or drawing their migration story and weaving it into the pelican, which will be on view in community spaces throughout the year.
