“Till” is a profoundly emotional and cinematic film about the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley’s relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son; Emmett Till; who; in 1955; was lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi. In Mamie’s poignant journey of grief turned to action; we see the universal power of a mother’s ability to change the world.

Chinonye Chukwu directs from a screenplay co-written with Michael Reilly & Keith Beauchamp. Danielle Deadwyler; Jalyn Hall; Frankie Faison; Haley Bennett and Whoopi Goldberg star.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Week (MLK Week) is a platform for engaging students, faculty, trainees, staff, and community members in critical conversations around race and contemporary civil rights issues in America. MLK Week 2023 host a series of events exploring the reverend’s complex ideas on the meaning of love, and together we’ll examine the strength needed to choose it when faced with hatred and division.
