presented by Women's Resource Center, coffee and conversations, a critical discussion series

Our Fall 2023 Coffee and Conversations topic is Rest Is Resistance, a book–and a political movement–written by activist, artist, poet, and founder of The Nap Ministry, Tricia Hersey. In this praxis session, we’ll be practicing rest as a form of resistance by doing an art activity called the Tree of Life, facilitated by EDI’s embedded therapist, Nicole Puertas. The Tree of Life activity is an opportunity for personal reflection on our various ancestries, backgrounds, and experiences, and also serves as an act of rest/resistance to grind culture via artistic, creative expression. Click here to register!

The purpose behind C&C praxis sessions is to put the theories and ideas discussed in C&C workshops into practice through hands-on experience and activities. Attendance at both the workshop and praxis session is not required, but attendance at both is recommended for a full experience!
