The Black Physicians of Utah will be hosting an event focused on the mental health challenges and the stigmatization of veterans in the workplace on Tuesday, May 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the Gould Auditorium in the J. Williard Marriott Library.

The event will begin the evening with a short screening of “Thank You For Your Service,” a documentary focused on the mental health challenges of recent Iraq and Afghan War veterans. The film will be followed with a panel of veterans as we discuss their mental health experiences and struggles with stigmatization in civilian life.

The event is aimed to spark conversations about the stigma surrounding mental health in the veteran community. Through the film and discussions, attendees will gain insight into the struggles veterans face daily, and we will explore ways to support and advocate for their well-being. Join us for this opportunity to learn how to support our veterans.
