This month, the U’s Center for Equity & Student Belonging (CESB) announced that Quianna Faamoe, Pacific Islander Student Engagement Coordinator, will be leaving the university this April. Over the past year, Quianna has supported the Pacific Islander Student Association, helped to recruit board members, took students to statewide leadership conferences and engagements and helped lead out on one of the largest PISA High School Conferences to date. She also built out a yearlong, continuous engagement program, Pasifika Navigators, that supports and engages students in various critical conversations and activities that are approached through a Pacific Islander excellence lens.
“While I can’t speak for the whole CESB Team, I know will miss having her positive energy, humor and presence on our Team, but I know she will go on to do amazing things!” said CESB Director Cassie Zamora-Cathcart.
