Join the WRC for a paint night in celebration of PRIDE Week! We will be painting along together to create a piece but feel free to just drop by and paint your "art" out. All supplies will be provided.
The University of Utah is honored to host Raquel Willis as the Pride Week 2022 keynote speaker. Willis will discuss how solidarity has shaped her own work and the expansive projects she has lead, as well as asking us to consider what an LGBTQIA+ movement that works for the liberation of all people looks like.
Regular testing is important to take care of your sexual wellbeing. HIV testing is the only way to know if you have the virus. The Center for Student Wellness provides free, drop-in testing for Students throughout the semester. Our tests are painless, requiring only saliva, and results are ready in 20 minutes!
University of Utah students are welcome to register for a special lunch with our 2022 Pride Week keynote speaker, Raquel Willis! Raquel Willis is a Black transgender activist, award-winning writer, and media strategist dedicated to elevating the dignity of marginalized people, particularly Black transgender people. She has held ground-breaking posts throughout her career including director of communications for the Ms. Foundation, executive editor of Out magazine, and national organizer for Transgender Law Center (TLC). This lunch will be a space for student to ask Willis questions in a relaxed setting and to learn more about her inspirational career and important work. Lunch will be provided.
Queer Prom is a dance party and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in partnership with the David Eccles School of Business and Out for Business. The event will feature a photo booth, DJ, snacks, and a sensory-friendly space with games and crafts.
Please join Dean Elizabeth Kronk Warner for her monthly dean’s book review. The book to be reviewed will be, Shortlisted – Women in the Shadows of the Supreme Court by Hannah Brenner Johnson and Renee Knake Jefferson. This book was selected in celebration of March being Women’s History month.

These conversations will explore the roles colonialism and white supremacy play in the modern day gender binary, what it means to "decolonize" something like gender, and what a future free of the binary could look like.

George Takei, Lieutenant Sulu on the original “Star Trek” and noted activist for Asian-American and LGBT rights, will visit the U on Jan. 27, 2022. Takei will address students and the university community at Kingsbury Hall beginning at noon and a book signing will follow.
